Le Pont du Gard

2000 years ago, for 5 years, more than 1,000 people worked on the construction of the Pont du Gard. The objective then was to bring water to the city of Nîmes, through an aqueduct 50 miles long.

Since that time, the world, stunned, has stopped spinning around, walkers, strollers, lovers, poets, painters grass, travelers and explorers organized on Sunday, here and elsewhere ...

Today, history continues and brings in visitors always the same. The monument, world heritage of humanity now lives in a natural environment of 165 hectares of Mediterranean landscapes.
